Behind the Canvas
Four Decades of Connecting Artists, Collectors, and Community.
Denise Colter, President
Thunderbird Artists connects nationally recognized, award-winning artists with passionate patrons from around the world. Founded in 1981 by Judi Combs and still family-owned and operated, Thunderbird Artists has spent over four decades building a reputation for excellence in fine art festivals. Judi and her daughter, Denise Colter, have made it their mission to champion both established and emerging artists, providing a vibrant marketplace that has launched countless creative careers.
Our juried festivals are known as a collector’s paradise™ for a reason—every event features a carefully curated selection of original paintings, sculptures, photography, jewelry, and mixed media from more than 165 top-tier artists. With an unwavering commitment to quality and variety, we offer something for every taste, style, and budget.
